The Accountex Report, the world’s largest online community focused on the technology needs of small to mid-sized accounting firm leaders, is excited to welcome Amanda Aguillard as Accountex new Senior Xero Editor.
Readers of the Accountex Report have likely already been impressed by Amanda’s insightful blogs this summer on Xero’s new payroll partner and expense app. And attendees at the 2018 show may have also caught her presentation on the keynote stage.
Starting October 1, the 100,000 monthly readers of the Accountex Blog will get to read more from Amanda on a regular basis.
“Amanda is a small firm owner and one of the profession’s most knowledgeable Xero users. She’s a CPA’s CPA. And we couldn’t be prouder to have her on our team,” says Jess Scheer, Executive Editor of the Accountex Report.
She has been a Hubdoc Top 50 Cloud Accountant for the last two years. She was the Xero Evangelist of the Year in 2016 and used her experience as an instructor of the Xero Certification course to co-found Elefant, a continuing education company for accountants and bookkeepers. In 2017, she co-founded Bluewire Strategy, a consulting group that empowers traditional accounting firms to fully embrace the cloud using process and technology.
She started Aguillard Accounting LLC in 2012, committed to running a cloud-based practice from anywhere in the world.
She holds a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Denver and is passionate about leveraging technology to help her peers build their dream practices. She regularly speaks at state CPA societies and industry technology conferences like Accountex, Clio Cloud Conference and Xerocon. She spends her spare time cooking for her two kids and reading historical fiction. She is also slightly obsessed with Penzey’s Spices and Chris Thile.
