  • Why is the Sleeter Conference scheduled so close to the Intuit Quickbooks Conference? Did Intuit not consider your conference before scheduling? Attending both feels impractical. Did they do this on purpose?

    • Camille, you would have to ask Intuit about that. The date for the Sleeter Group’s Accounting Solutions Conference (Solutions14) was set long before Intuit had developed the concept of their QuickBooks Connect event.

Looking at the itineraries of the two conferences you can see that they are very, very different. Solutions14 is focused on the accounting professional, with a huge variety of sessions. You also have many different vendors (including Intuit) in the exhibit hall. On the other hand, QuickBooks Connect has portions for industry VIP’s, small business owners, accounting professionals and software developers. No focus. However, the only accounting system vendor you’ll see exhibiting there is Intuit.

Both conferences provide value, but they are very, very different.
